The sidewalks along TransJakarta bus lanes are being repaired by Jakarta Public Works Department. The work consists of three packages, namely corridor 1, 2 and 3 (first package), corridor 4, 5 and 6 (second package), and corridor 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 (third package).

We only replace the damaged parts

Head of Roads and Bridges Maintenance Division for Jakarta Public Works Department, Juaini Yusuf, disclosed that the contract of this project was signed by Jakarta Goods and Services Procurement Unit (ULP) last month.

“Many of the sidewalk materials are replaced, but not all, only in certain parts. The parts that are still worthy are not replaced. We only replace the damaged parts,” he stated, Thursday (11/6).

60 Damaged Roads in N. Jakarta Repaired

According to Yusuf, this project costs Rp 5 billion for a single package. Thus, he hopes the public would participate in maintaining the sidewalks well, especially because it is conducted to create comfort for TransJakarta bus passengers as well as road users.

“The work is targeted to finish completely in upcoming mid-December,” he said.
